Denzil with his Courtois Euphonium

SARNIA MUSIC is based in Cornwall, and run by Denzil Stephens,

a man with a vast experience of playing euphonium, conducting,

adjudicating, arranging and composing music for brass band.

Denzil keeps his lip in by playing with a local tuba quartet and          occasionally helping out with other brass bands, though his main task is to train and conduct the Lostwithiel Town band.

The Sarnia Music catalogue contains music for brass band, tenpiece brass band ensemble, tuba quartets, beginner band music, and solos with piano accompaniment.

Denzil has written about his past life commencing with his childhood in Guernsey, his time with the famous Black Dyke Mills band, his career in the Royal Air Force Music Services, and his success with top class brass bands from 1978, especially the Cory Band of South Wales.    The book, BANDING IS MY LIFE is available direct from Sarnia Music, or from agents in the UK such as 4barsrest.com

There are several compositions and arrangements for  euphonium and/or baritone by Denzil Stephens, some with piano, others with brass band or tenpiece accompaniment .      To enable players to assess the music before spending money on the publications, Denzil has assembled the themes from most of the solos into a book entitled

“EUPHOLOGY” My Solo Book.    See  misc

There is a variety of music in this book which would make an ideal companion to the many available tutor books now published by other authors.
